Lance Lochner is Professor and CIBC Chair in Human Capital and Productivity in the Department of Economics at the University of Western Ontario. Previous and current research explores: the interaction between human capital and criminal behavior; financial returns to schooling; post-school human capital acquisition; the evolution of earnings inequality in the U.S.; the interaction of early and late investments in human capital; the relationship between family income and early child outcomes as well as educational attainment; and the nature of credit constraints and government lending programs in the education market.
