The Center frequently serves as a research, data, and evaluation partner to organizations in the policy, government, and philanthropic communities. As research partners, we help stakeholders understand and analyze key issues related to poverty and inequality demographics and trends and to identify and evaluate policies and practices to address poverty and inequality.
The Center has provided research support and guidance to the California HOPE for Children Trust Account Program Advisory Workgroup (for state-funded baby bonds); the California Lifting Children and Families Out of Poverty Task Force; the Washington State Department of Early Learning; the county social service agencies for Contra Costa, Merced, San Diego, San Francisco, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Sonoma, and Ventura Counties in California; and nonprofit and philanthropic organizations including EPIC (End Poverty in California), End Child Poverty in California, and private foundations.
