Farah Champsi joined Population Health Partners, a biotechnology investment firm, as a partner in 2021. Starting in 2000, she was at Alta Partners and Interwest Partners as a Managing Director and General Partner. During that time, Farah raised over $1 billion in venture funds and served as a board member of numerous successful public and private life sciences companies. Prior to Alta, Farah was a senior investment banker at Robertson Stephens & Company for 13 years, where she focused on biotechnology and other life sciences companies. During that time, she was responsible for building one of the most prominent life sciences investment banking franchises on Wall Street. Farah holds a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts from Smith College. She is currently a Trustee of Smith College, is on the boards of UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals and Charles Armstrong School and serves on Stanford’s multidisciplinary Life Sciences Council. She is an Advisory Board Member for the Stanford Institute for Research in the Social Sciences (IRiSS). She lives in Atherton, CA, with her husband, Jim Keene, and twin daughters.
