I am an Assistant Professor in Philosophy at Stanford University. Previously, I was a Research Assistant Professor in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and before that, a Bersoff Faculty Fellow in Philosophy at New York University. I received my PhD in 2013 from Princeton University, advised by Gideon Rosen. I received a BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics in 2006 from Balliol College, Oxford. I am from Glasgow in Sunny Scotland.
