The American Voices Project is seeking a student with a background in computer science to conduct data intake and analysis. Responsibilities will include: working with the Google speech-to-text API for the purpose of analyzing qualitative data; automating organization of raw data file submissions; and analyzing and synthesizing AVP data to calculate response rates and other analytical reports.
Applicants should have intermediate (or higher) knowledge of Python or R and an interest in economic inequality, poverty, and social science research. Experience with Google Sheets API or Google Drive API is a plus.
