Thomas C. Geiser serves as Advisory Board Member for the Stanford Institute for Research in the Social Sciences (IRiSS). He is an advisor to several private equity firms. He has served as advisor and legal counsel to numerous health care organizations with a focus on health care financing and delivery. He served as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of WellPoint Health Networks Inc. from its inception in 1993 until 2005. Prior to joining WellPoint, he spent 15 years as an attorney in private law practice, coming to WellPoint from Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison in San Francisco, California. He was also a partner in Epstein, Becker, Stromberg & Green and in Hanson, Bridgett, Marcus, Vlahos & Stromberg in San Francisco. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Surgical Care Affiliates, IASIS Healthcare, Novasom, and Providence Saint John’s Health Center. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Library Foundation of Los Angeles.
