Mary Dent is general counsel at Insikt, Inc. Mary is particularly focused on innovation in financial services and on the regulatory and public policy issues that affect whether, when, and how new business models and service offerings can be successful. Previously, Mary founded dcIQ, a consulting firm that is focused on the intersection of technology, innovation, and public policy. She also served as General Counsel and Vice President of Public Policy for Silicon Valley Bank, which provides banking and other financial services to high growth companies across the United States and around the world. Before SVB, she spent seven years as General Counsel and Special Counsel for New Skies Satellites, a Netherlands-based operator of a global communications satellite system. Mary's work at SVB and New Skies built on more than a decade working in and with Washington D.C., both on the staff of Senator Kennedy and in private legal practice.
